Same side of two coins : Voting in country Election and Participation in Engagement survey.
While two coins – Election & Engagement – could be different, but ‘people of country’ and ‘employees of company’ always need some awareness and motivation on ‘WHY’ they should vote/participate.
One company I worked with earlier experienced low participation during employee experience survey and out of many things identified as ‘action’ items, one action was doing a strong campaign to increase participation. Following strong adverts helped in increasing employees’ participation.
1. PARTICIPATION is not mandatory, but consequences will be.
2. PARTICIPATION costs nothing.
3. Bad outcomes are the result of good people who abstain from PARTICIPATION.
4. You might be good at making excuses, but don’t give that chance to leaders. PARTICIPATION matters.
5. I said No to ‘PARTICIPATION’. I said No to ‘Change’.
Now, just replace the word ‘PARTICIPATION’ with ‘VOTING in all above mentioned sentences and read it again!!!
I was surprised to see that the same 'Engagement’ survey campaign can very well fit for increasing people’ s participation during ‘Elections’.
