Weighing the "choices" we have
There are 2 ways to weigh an object: 1) scale (force of gravity), or 2) balance (amount of matter inside). Scale is more practical for everyday use, while precision balance is preferred for lab experiments.

Same two ways are used to weigh the 'choices' we have. Example: The gravity of COVID disruption forced us to take ‘everyday safety’ measures which gave birth to ‘scaled’ work from home model. As COVID gravity started reducing, ‘matter inside this subject’ is getting reweighed with ‘balancing’ act.

Is it right or wrong, that’s not the discussion here. New measure and sustenance will be key.

Principal of weighing choices can be applied to other stakeholders as well: Regulatory ease and Governance measures [Government], Return on equity and Sustainable/Credible Leadership measures [Shareholders], Growth and Profit measure [Organization], Price and Quality measure [Customer]…

That’s why new measures emerged: Reforms to standardize Compliance, Sustainable Returns, Profitable Growth and Serviceability at low price & high quality.

The caricature shown below is for fun only, and employee safety will always be an important topic, but it will be interesting to see which measures will emerge in future - surprisingly, ‘Hybrid’ choice is also getting reweighed by some orgs!
